I'm definately a fabric addict! No question about it. With leftover fabric, I make coiled baskets. This one was made for a customer who has a blue and yellow guest room.
If it's traditional to give the bridal party gifts, then is it traditional to give the parents gifts too?

My fiance's parents as well as my dad and step-mom have been helping us out financially with our wedding planning without us asking. It was a very generous gesture of all of them. My mother cannot afford to help us with money at all, but she offers novice
we held a pj brunch at our house just for the bridal party & that's where we presented the gifts then before the wedding we presented our parents with handkerchiefs that included a sweet poem.

Parents do not expect gifts, a simple card that pours out your love and appreciation for them will do...unless you want to. But im sure your parents rather you NOT spend your money on them...and try and pick up the tab here and there on other wedding expenses. I say give your aunt a gift basket and a card, she deserves it.

What to include in a wedding gift basket?

So, my best friend is getting married. I introduced her to her soon-to-be husband. However, I missed her bridal shower because I was living in a different state and was unable to make it up.
I am going to her house 3 days before the wedding
You have a lot of stuff there!! It's more than enough! Maybe you can just add a restaurant voucher.
Decoration:
Buy a plain white box. Buy (cheap) lace from a fabric store. Cover the box in lace. Take a wide satin ribbon and use it to close the box. Take a glue gun and glue little pearl beads all over. Be sure to line the box

what are some things to remember?
Apr 12, 2011 by Shannon Criscuolo | Posted in Other - Family & Relationships
I am getting married in june and I am trying to think of the rest of the things that I need to do planning wise....I have flowers, DJ, location, Dress, tuxes, trasportation, justice of the peace, basically all the big stuff set already....I am wondering
What about the flower thingys that get stuck on the pews / chairs to hold seats for your family and his during the service?
Runner so the dress doesn't get dirty walking down the isle.
Organist / music during ceremony.
I just went to a wedding so all of this is fresh in my mind.

Sweet buffets and other treats
18.05.12
Forget the roast sirloin and potatoes, pass the Gummy Bears. That's the theme at The Candy Bin, the newly opened shop at 1 Danbury Road that specializes in candy buffets, for weddings and other events.
"Brides love them," said Lisa Nuzzo, who co-owns the store with Michele Mancini. "Candy buffets have become very popular."
In fact, Ms. Nuzzo's husband, Jim, a disc jockey and owner of Dance to the Music, also at 1 Danbury Road, first noticed the increasing prevalence of candy buffets at weddings and told his wife.
Ms. Nuzzo and her business partner, Ms. Mancini, both of Norwalk, then came up with the idea to open The Candy Bin, to take advantage of the candy buffet trend and also fill a need for a sweet shop in the area.
Around the same time, store space became available at the 1 Danbury Road location.
"It all fell into place," said Ms. Mancini, at their store, with its aisles overflowing with candy of every kind, reminiscent of a giant game of Candyland.
Wedding: Msikula had kitchen party as opposed to bridal shower

Walking down the aisle does not mean just the church, groom or bride, but celebration with loved ones.
While every woman looks forward to walking down the aisle, different functions accompany the road from the visitation or what is known as okukyala, the introduction, bridal shower which is still not that common, the bachelorette party then finally the D-day. This kitchen party was fun, more like a girls’ night out. The talk at the function is x-rated, no wonder girls below 18 were not welcome.
“I didn’t care much about getting a bridal shower; the kitchen party gave it all.” The bride-to-be, Dr Rosemary Msikula said.
A kitchen party is a combination of a Ssenga lecture, motherly lecture, memories of the single life and fun celebrating the last days of being a spinster. A kanga (lesu) outfit was the requirement needed to be part of this all girls’ party and one had to be above 18 years to be let into the indoor function.

I want to come up with something unique and fun – but purchasing gift wrapping materials can sometimes cost even more than the gift. There are baby showers and bridal showers and lots of birthday parties and let’s not forget the “end of school” gifts for teachers, administrators, bus drivers, lunch ladies, and oh so many more who have been part of daily life for our... I know how important it is to my kids to be able to thank their school “people” with a little gift, and it’s important to me as well – and I enjoy shopping for something unique and fun to share with them.
