My fiance and i are looking at engagement rings, however i dont know what kind of ring i want. I want a 3 stone diamond ring that represents past present and future but i dont know how to tell him the exact ring that i want.... Does any one have any solutions

I was thinking about buying this engagement ring for my fiance. As much as I would love to abide by the "3 months wages" rule, it's just not practical for me.
