Should I get myself a matching promise ring or wait?

First off, we are both girls. On May 5th is my girlfriend and I's 3 year anniversary and I was going to get her a promise ring. It's just a simple band that will say something cute on the outside and I am going to have the date engraved on the inside.

I'm getting married soon, I bought him a promise ring when we got engaged, just wondering if the female is suppose to buy the wedding band also.

Yes, he is buying yours (as well as the engagement ring), you should at least buy him his band.
