Should I save my wedding dress for my kids?

I just got a divorce. Do you think they will wont it in 20 to 30 years when they get married?

It will be so out of style girl. Plus you don't want to hold on to something that will remind you of the divorce. Let it go and move on. Good luck.

I think you should keep it because It's better that you have it and they don't want it than if you didn't have it and they DID want it. At least if in 20 or 30 years they decided they don't want it all you lost was a little storage space. Can you imagine if they ask you for it in 20 years and you don't have it what a heartbreak.

Would you give up on having a nice wedding because of?

My friend just got engaged and is ecstatic. She and her fiance are both 35 years old, it is the first wedding for each, even though she had two kids from a previous. She has always dreamed of having a nice (but small, 50 people or so) wedding, with

A lot of this depends on the fiance and how he acts around his friends. He should be able to behave decently, i.e. tell them that wild partying is not what he does now. And for the bachelor party, he needs to learn the word "no" - they can't force him to have a wild bachelor party. Lots and lots of guys to sensible things for bachelor parties

I can understand why she wouldn't want people at her wedding that she didn't like or thinks may disrupt the wedding, but she should allow her future husband to invite who he wants. I'm sure she would be upset if he insisted some of her friends didn't come. They should be invited and if they aren't on board with the relationship then maybe they won't

2nd wedding but...Can i still...?

I first got married at 18 because i was going to have a baby well that didn't work...When me and him got married it was in a courthouse with my mom and dad and some of his faimly...I didn't have a party or anything my aunt on my moms side got my a gift

You already have two kids, you're pregnant again and getting married for the second time. Your church wedding plans sound a little over the top to me. Tone it down.

My niece is forbidding my disabled daughter to come to her wedding?

My niece is getting married in June and she has told me that she does not want my disabled daughter to be at her wedding. She said that the wedding needs to be "perfect" and she is afraid my disabled daughter will "do something weird and

If I had a daughter who was not welcome to a wedding in the family because of her disability, I would have no desire to attend the wedding myself. I would boycott the wedding and everything that has to do with it and I would hope that nobody else in my closest family would attend it either. I would neither send a gift nor a card. I would not attend

Track teams weather storm at Zuber Relays

BALTIMORE -- They say April showers bring May flowers, and it also brought several strong performances by area track teams Saturday at the Zuber Relays at Liberty Union.

Despite a non-forgiving rain that perfectly complimented chilly temperatures, Bloom-Carroll, Liberty Union, Fairfield Union and Fisher Catholic's boys and girls teams put forth several strong efforts. The Lions' boys and the Bulldogs' girls teams stood out among the local teams competing in the 10-team meet.

Liberty Union's boys tallied 91 points to fall a point shy of meet champion Sheridan, and Bloom-Carroll's girls team took third place with 56 points behind Columbus Academy (74 points) and the Generals (102). The Falcons girls took fourth with 52 points.

"It's tough to run in this type of weather, especially after the great weather that we had in March," Bulldogs girls coach Mike Smith said. "But everybody has to do it, so we stepped up and ran through it. They all worked hard this week at practice, and I'm proud of them for that. Everyone battled hard to do the best that they can."

Carolyn Hax: Cut the excuses and put on your party dress

Dear Carolyn:

A close friend was recently named to the board of directors for a major nonprofit. She was thrilled, and I was thrilled for her.

Last week, my husband and I were invited to a $100-per-plate benefit for her nonprofit. Since we would also have to purchase new clothes and a baby-sitter, I RSVP'd no.

Yesterday, my friend told me she was hurt I wasn't attending. I told her it was simply too expensive. She was quiet for a moment, and then told me she attended wedding showers, wedding, baby showers, three christenings and numerous birthday parties for my kids (this is true). She told me that after all that, it would mean a lot if we could attend a function for her.

I was floored. Is she "bean counting"? Those costs were spread out; a $25 gift here and there is different from a $500 expense in one evening.

Attending is not impossible, but it would be difficult. My husband thinks we should make a donation and not attend. Is this a fair compromise? Do I even have to compromise?

Bridezillas Now Diet By Feeding Tube In Hottest Bridal Trend

Yes, some bridezillas will fake terminal leukemia to have the perfect wedding . But flirting with felonies seems like child's play when some other brides are making sure they drop the pounds by getting feeding tubes inserted through their noses . And don't worry—these brides are totally cool with walking around with their tubes giving them their 800 calories/day!

The NY Times' Styles section looks at how brides try further exert control on their most important day by depriving themselves of sustenance. One Illinois bride was worried when her weight was 159 pounds, which would endanger her plans of wearing her grandmother's wedding dress: "She took prescription pills, had vitamin B shots and made weekly $45 visits to a Medithin clinic in Janesville, Wis. When she married on March 18, she was back to 125 pounds; the gown, from 1938, fit perfectly."

A Pennsylvania bride dropped 70 punds on the Dukan diet, explaining, "I didn’t want to be a fat bride."

Fear

I had certainly talked to Bill several times since I last saw him, pretty much every day. I spoke with my mail carrier, and he was able to forward the dress to me when it did arrive the very next day. and my dress had still not arrived. We were about 25 miles from their home when realization hit me. this was the last place I ever saw Bill Joe. The boys were soon out hopping the waves, playing and having a great time. Friday night we stayed at my Dad and step-mom Kathie's house....

Prom: Nothing Like The Movies, Thank Goodness

I’m pretty sure I’m never going to bother having a wedding because prom is so much better – it’s all the fun of picking out a dress and dancing and eating fancy food, and none of the stress of having to pay for it all or spending the rest of...   Junior prom stands out to this day as one of the most magical nights of my existence (it helps that everything seems more magical when you’re 16).   I am one of those people that went to both junior and senior prom and unironically loved every minute of them.   My junior prom date moved to Australia and became like, a butcher or something. I am......

The ins and outs....

Seasoned some chicken and fried it up with some cream of chicken and rotel. Coming back for my sisters wedding on the 12th, and then off to Amarillo on the 14th. Layered a dish with tortillas, some beans, our chicken mix, then cheese, and repeated. Tuesday night, Farren and I decided to make a concoction of our own for dinner. So, daddy left on Tuesday to go out of town for work. Turned out fabulous. Prior to this, the longest we had been away from each other i think was 2 or 3 days....
