A November 2008 photo on the cover of W Magazine featured Angelina breastfeeding one of her twins. Women worried that the photo was sexualizing breastfeeding instead of celebrating its benefits for children.

Shelby native heads online women's magazine

Attending the Oscars for many is a pipe dream. Rubbing elbows with celebrities like rock legend Steven Tyler and ‘American Idol’ star Adam Lambert is a dream that will never be realized for most people. And running a successful online magazine could easily make anyone’s bucket list. For Shelby native Andrea Rogers, all of that is business as usual.

Shelby raised

Born in the Netherlands, Rogers migrated to the South with her parents at the age of 6. While growing up in Shelby, she attended Marion Elementary and Shelby High School. Her last stop was Wake Forest University, where she graduated with majors in both economics and politics.

From Shelby to the Capital

After graduation, Rogers moved to the Washington D.C. area where she worked in mar-keting and public relations.

In early 2008, Rogers blogged for Mervis Diamond Importers, giving advice on how to buy a wedding ring and at times giving relationship advice.

JPG Dresses Diet Coke

@JPGaultier unveiled his latest fashion collaboration with Diet Coke via Twitter. As newly minted head designer of the bottle, JPG tweeted the "Night & Day bottles for #CocaLightJPG!!" The designer also admitted to having issues picking a favorite, "I find it very hard to choose between the Night & Day bottles! #DietCokeJPG Love them both!"
