Big Fat Gypsy Weddings are more outrageous than ever

Thelma calls it “the most outrageous request” she’s ever had, which is saying something.
There’s hilarious footage of a prom princess, whose pink dress is so monstrous there is barely any room for her nearly-suffocating boyfriend in their horse-drawn carriage.
We see some familiar faces, like Paddy Doherty and couples who married in the first series.
And of course there’s the return of dressmaker extraordinaire Thelma Madine. I wish she would tell us how much the dresses cost, but as she keeps saying, if she did she would be shot. And I don’t think she’s joking.
Part of the reason why this glimpse into an alien world is so fascinating is because of all the contradictions.
The young girls are quite sweet and say they are virtuous – drinking and swearing are frowned upon and sex before marriage is a real no-no.
Yet they also show off most of their bodies in the tiniest of clothes, and wear more make-up and fake tan than Jordan and Jodie Marsh put together.

Oh, yay, it's time for Pandora's wedding. Sorry, I just can't get excited about a person/character I don't care about having a ridiculously expensive wedding. It's a bit like being dragged to the nuptials of a second cousin you never particularly liked and having to make tepid small talk with complete strangers until you can run to your car without offending anyone. I know, I know, some people love weddings, any weddings, but when the main players are exceedingly dull rich kids, it's hard not to think that there are starving people somewhere who'd be happy to eat not only the leftovers, but possibly the flower arrangements.
Pandy wants more diamonds on her dress! Pandy wants everything pink! Pandy wants bubblegum pink labels on all the wine bottles! Pandy wants Mommy to wear a tiara! Glad she likes everything the color of Pepto Bismol. Unfortunately, I am even less excited about Paul's colonoscopy. At least a minute is dedicated to Paul passing gas after the procedure. Oh, I'm sorry, passing AIR. All I can say is both of these storylines make me want to sick up a bit.

OH WHATEVER. THIS EPISODE.
For whatever reason — Social Awareness! I suppose — we are invited along for Dr. Mr. LaMaloof’s colonoscopy, an invitation we can not refuse, apparently. A nurse orders Dr. Mr. La Maloof to give himself an enema and NO, SORRY, NOPE. NONE OF THIS. Can’t do it. I WON’T DO IT. If you have a family history of colon cancer, you should have your first colonoscopy at 40. If you are of average risk, you should have a colonoscopy at 50. There are some people who should have colonoscopies at an even younger age for one reason or another, but I suspect that if you do, you already know this and are on top of it. There. Does that get me out of having to describe this scene? “And then while in a Kimessque-haze, Dr. La Maloof farts a lot while mumbling, ‘Oh no! Oh no!’ over and over again.” Is that good? Are we done here?
Time to get ready for the big wedding! The day before, Lisa Vanderfrets as the tents are raised on the tennis court. Lights and dangly things and tables and air conditioners are all shoved into the tent, but there is no “Kevin” to be found because he’s out of town? Which is a perfectly reasonable thing for him to do on the eve of not just another Beverly Hills wedding, but a Beverly Hills wedding that will be broadcast on a national television program. This is just a good idea. Lisa is not Vandermused. Lisa and Pandora and Pandora’s maid of honor approve of the tent, noting that no one would ever be able to tell that it was a tennis court, aside from the net posts — which Lisa uses to demonstrate how Camille dances:
