When I was five, like a lot of other little girls, I liked to dress up at home in Mom's high heels and jewellry and a white dress with a sheet on my head in lieu of a veil to walk down our hallway pretending I was walking down the aisle. Girls grow up wanting weddings not marriages. And of course we do. It's the closest we're ever going to get to the kinds of balls you see in Fairy Tales. You'd think in retrospect, this in and of itself would be a signal of the absurdity of it all....

I don’t really do eye makeup, because I’m bad at it. But a lot of mascara on me, because I have lots of lashes, ends up looking like eyeliner. I just need to find someone who will teach me.
