Roosevelt, 1882-1945So why would any virtuous institution financially dependant on the compassion of others still align itself today with scandalous and atrocious blood-sports ? This is how they claim to do it in Wyoming , where they also fail aligning with a moral society. Is it any wonder the image of hunting is declining faster than the number of hunters is? Who would want to be associated with such torture of other sentient beings. Today’s society may have limited knowledge of animals beyond domestic pets, but its compassion for all animals is on the rise. Urban wild species have been excessively maligned; myths perpetuated and feeble education resembles fear-mongering more than coexistence. The truth always prevails however, and many animals demoted to “nuisance” are now finding empathy among evolved humans wanting to achieve harmony. Additionally, approval is rapidly declining towards the use of dogs to chase down , corner and often fight other animals; wild, predator, nuisance or not. This sport stubbornly refuses to receive that memo and relentlessly lobbies to allow their dogs to chase every species imaginable.
